I Know You’re Tired of Roasted Cauliflower…
February 17, 2008

But I’m not. And just to be wild and crazy, I did half broccoli/half cauliflower last night. Wild times on the homestead. Drizzled with olive oil, sprinkled with coarse ground black pepper and kosher salt. Roasted at 400° F for a half hour. Not a piece left. Yum.
By the way, J.’s dad is a digital photography buff and he just got his hands on a Nikon D3. The veggie photo above was taken with the D3 and a 105mm fixed focal length lens. I have no idea about camera specs, since I am a point-and-shoot gal myself, but I do know it takes incredible photos, especially portraits.

I’ve roasted cauliflower alone and with brussels sprouts and other veggies, but I never tried roasting broccoli. Thanks, Dara.

I tried it last night–it’s a keeper! The broccoli wasn’t all dried out as I’d feared it would be. It’s pretty, too, so I’ll try it for company.
