P.S. I’m sure I got the link through Bonnie to your blog, but wanted to tell you I’ve enjoyed seeing your weekly CSA shares and what you are doing with the veggies.
We live in Alaska and have actually participated in a local Organic CSA here as well. It’s like Christmas every week we pick up our veggies. It only runs 12 weeks though, which is probably an eternity to the farmers, but so short for me!

“A. mentioned he likes broccoli in cheese sauce.” What??? You’re saying that this child who’s so picky actually asked for this? Amazing!

I’ve served it with boxed mac n’ cheese, so he mixes the cheese sauce from that in with the broccoli. It was more like an observation that he’d tolerate it. ; ) — Dara

I’m curious about the vegan meatballs. Our priest’s wife made albondigas soup with a nut based meatball, and they were really good.

I’ve seen recipes with nuts, but I’m going to try one with mushrooms, eggplant, and breadcrumbs. When I finally make them I’ll post a recipe! — Dara
