CSA Share ’09, Week 7

July 22, 2009

Straightforward share this week — everything will be easy to use. We received a quart of red-skinned potatoes, red onions, a bulb of garlic, 2 summer squash, 2 cucumbers, 4 ears of corn, a small eggplant, lettuce mix, parsley, and basil.

We will probably grill the squash, corn, eggplant, and some onions for lunch on the weekend, and that knocks out the majority of the veggies. If I can fit everything in the produce bins in my fridge, it’s a pretty light week share-wise!

Isn’t that early for corn? Let us know how it is, please!

I know it’s good already, because we got some last week! I do think it’ll get sweeter over the next bunch of weeks, though. — Dara
