We were on a family vacation in Lancaster, PA last week, so I tapped Lauren to pick up Wednesday’s farm share. She was kind enough to take a picture of what she received, so I wouldn’t miss a week of photos!
She got: beefsteak tomatoes, Juliet tomatoes, lettuce mix, Mariachi peppers, red Italia peppers, green bell peppers, a tiny head of broccoli, broccoli rabe, corn, a cucumber, basil, and parsley. (I think that’s all accurate.)
It was a bit of a relief to not have to figure out what to do with all the produce this week. The peppers alone are intimidating, since no one is a huge fan of them raw. I’ll be ready to get back into the CSA this Wednesday, when I’m also doing my volunteer day at the pick-up site. If you’re a Chick in the Kitchen reader and a member of Roxbury, please say hi to me when you stop by!
