Menu Plan Monday, 10/5 – 10/11

greenmpm Menu Plan Monday, 10/5 10/11

I have a bunch of baking to do this week for various events. I’m making my favorite cake, Ann’s Apple Cake; Banana Muffins (sans chocolate chips); and also some cupcakes for school (those will be from a mix, though).

Otherwise it’s a straightforward week with only one new recipe, the Green Tomato Salsa.

Monday: Breakfast for dinner! Pancakes, hard-boiled eggs, watermelon

Tuesday: Green Tomato Salsa, black beans & rice, tortilla chips

Wednesday: Turkey meatballs in sauce, Wacky Mac, farm share veggies

Thursday: Neil Sedaka’s Chicken, egg noddles, farm share veggies

Friday: Roasted chicken, farm share veggies, challah

Saturday: Baked Ziti, garden salad

Sunday: Order in

Doesn’t the VYY cookbook look cool…I’d likely never actually make anything from it, but in theory it is a good idea:)

Moroccan Chicken Tajine: I recently had a chicken tajine dish at Fig & Olive in Scarsdale, and wanted to recreate something similar at home. This is an Ina Garten recipe, and she never fails me.

"Somebody That I Used to Know" by Gotye. I find the xylophone haunting, and the lyrics are poignant. Love this track.
