Menu Plan Monday, 10/12 – 10/18

greenmpm Menu Plan Monday, 10/12 10/18

There was plenty of baking but not a whole lot of cooking this past week. If you haven’t seen the recipe for Ann’s Apple Cake, go take a look and then bake it for the next event where you’ll need to feed a ravenous horde. It’s a big cake!

I have been craving soup lately, so I’m kicking the week off with a favorite from last year. I’ve also made Tuesday’s Pasta with Lentils and Arugula before, but pre-blog, so I know it will be delicious. With those two dishes plus a quick stir fry for lunch, I’ll be able to use up all the greens I’ve been accumulating from our farm share.

Monday: Vegetarian White Bean & Kale Soup, roasted carnival squash, challah rolls

Tuesday: Pasta with Lentils and Arugula, sugar snaps peas

Wednesday: Leftovers or stir fry

Thursday: Chicken with Mushrooms and Peas, egg noodles

Friday: Chicken Soup with lots of noodles, challah

Saturday: Order in

Sunday: Stuffed shells, broccoli

The last two times I’ve checked in on your blog, I have read the white bean and kale recipe and crave it…I’ve never had it before, I just want to. So, maybe you’ve inspired me to actually make it:)

Want to Try

Cheesy Kale Crisps: We rarely eat kale now that our farm share is over, and I want to fix that. I've wanted to try using nutritional yeast, and this recipe looks like a tasty way to do it.

"Shake It Out" by Florence + the Machine. This song reminds me of Annie Lennox, and I love tracks that include a huge, gospel-like chorus.
