Menu Plan Monday, 11/30 – 12/6

greenmpm Menu Plan Monday, 11/30 12/6

We had a great Thanksgiving (read the recap), and then a restful extended weekend. I took a look at the calendar yesterday and was shocked to see that December begins Tuesday — I thought there was another week of November still to come, somehow! And so we slide seamlessly from general autumn busyness into the happy chaos that is the holiday season.

Monday: Beef & Cabbage Stir-Fry with Peanut Sauce, noodles

Tuesday: Sweet Potato Cornbread, wild mushroom soup (clear, not creamy), roasted cauliflower

Wednesday: Leftovers

Thursday: Indian Spiced Lentils with Chicken, peas, rice

Friday: Baked chicken drumsticks, sweet potato fries, broccoli

Saturday: Order in

Sunday: Grilled rib eye steaks, farm share veggies

Tuesday night is my kind of dinner! I just made sweet potato corn bread (totally GF) and it was delicious. I bet it will be wonderful with mushroom soup… love.

Yummy looking meal plan! How do you make your sweet potato fries? Please share – I think the kids would like them!

I’m not making them, I’ve had these kicking around in my freezer for a while: — Dara

Moroccan Chicken Tajine: I recently had a chicken tajine dish at Fig & Olive in Scarsdale, and wanted to recreate something similar at home. This is an Ina Garten recipe, and she never fails me.

"Somebody That I Used to Know" by Gotye. I find the xylophone haunting, and the lyrics are poignant. Love this track.
