We did that for six days in an ice/wind storm two or three years ago. Fortunately, our living room was big, we had a fireplace, lots of candles, a gas grill and propane camp stove. We all camped in the living room around the fireplace and I baked potatoes, made tea, etc. in there. It wasn't as cold as it is where you are, but six days was plenty enough.
