Menu Plan Monday, 9/6 – 9/12
September 6, 2010

The boys go back to school tomorrow, and I am so excited for them. Growing up, I always adored the fresh start that a new school year brought with it. I couldn’t get enough of picking out school supplies, and I carefully planned out my first day of school outfit days in advance. While my kids don’t have that level of exuberance, I think they are both ready to head back to the routine of school, and all the extracurricular activities that come with the school year. My little one is starting kindergarten this year, and he is raring to go — he is so ready for full-day school, and I know he’ll love it. (It doesn’t hurt that some of his best friends are in his class.) Still, it seems like just yesterday I was writing a post about Packing Lunch for Kindergarten, talking about my oldest!
We’re keeping it simple this week, aside from celebrating the Jewish New Year — those will be feasts to reckon with!
Monday: Breakfast for dinner: pancakes and strawberries
Tuesday: Spaghetti & turkey sausage, salad
Wednesday: Rosh Hashanah dinner at Lauren’s
Thursday: Rosh Hashanah dinner here
Friday: Leftovers
Saturday: Eat out or leftovers
Sunday: Triple Tomato Sauce with Ziti, fresh mozzarella, salad

I am trying to keep it simple this week, too for the same reason. I did Crock Pot for tonight and lasagna for tomorrow. My kids are so excited about their school lunches and lunch boxes!
