Menu Plan Monday, 12/6 -12/12

mealplanmonday v1 Menu Plan Monday, 12/6 12/12

Hanukkah began last Wednesday night, so I’ve been eating lots o’ latkes. Soup is a perfect accompaniment to latkes, and I liked the way a new recipe for Slow Cooker Vegetarian Lentil Soup turned out. I also made a batch of Bob’s Cold Sesame Noodles (great with a cold beer) and tried a slow cooker recipe for beef & broccoli.

Not feeling very enthused about cooking or cleaning up this week, so it’s a simple menu.

Monday: Leftovers

Tuesday: Spicy Honey Chicken Thighs, steamed green beans, Israeli couscous

Wednesday: BuddhaPesto or sauce with whole wheat pasta, fresh mozzarella, carrots and celery

Thursday: Roasted chicken and potatoes, garden salad

Friday: Out to dinner

Saturday: J. grills lamb chops, plus farm share produce

Sunday: Stuffed Shells, salad

Moroccan Chicken Tajine: I recently had a chicken tajine dish at Fig & Olive in Scarsdale, and wanted to recreate something similar at home. This is an Ina Garten recipe, and she never fails me.

"Somebody That I Used to Know" by Gotye. I find the xylophone haunting, and the lyrics are poignant. Love this track.
