Another week, another plan. Made any great new recipes recently?

Monday: Out to eat or order in

Tuesday: Peter Reinhart’s Two-Day Challah (I put the dough up today), celery & carrots, sliced cheese

Wednesday: General Tso’s Slow-Cooked [Chicken] Tacos With Orange-Broccoli Slaw

Thursday: Amazing Whole Wheat Pizza Crust for make your own pizza and calzones; garden salad

Friday: Shabbat Chicken, barley & sauteed onions, steamed green beans, challah

Saturday: Out to dinner (Thai?)

Sunday: Slow Cooker Vegetable Barley Soup, Pumpkin Dinner Rolls

Menu Plan Monday, 5/25 – 5/31

We had some delicious meals last week: Coconut Crunch Chicken, Dimer Dalna (Egg Curry), and Turkey Sliders.

We had a great Memorial Day weekend, and I hope you did too. Now, on to the week ahead.

Monday: Take out

Tuesday: Personal Boboli pizzas with mushroom and red pepper topping for the boys; Triple Tomato Sauce with Ziti for me and Jason (this is the third time I’m bumping it!)

Wednesday: Crock Pot Coq au Vin, egg noodles, steamed green beans

Thursday: Baked Lemon Pasta, garden salad, dinner rolls

Friday: Shabbat dinner at my parent’s house

Saturday: Slow Cooker Ratatouille, spaghetti, French bread

Sunday: Friends here for a BBQ lunch (TBD), so leftovers or something light from the fridge for dinner

Menu Plan Monday, 1/21-1/27


This is a really light cooking week for me, due to the boys spending time with grandparents (they have no school today or Friday) and my birthday!

I’ve also realized that I really don’t like to cook on Sunday nights — even when I have something simple planned I tend to try to get out of it. I’m too wrapped up in getting things organized for the week ahead, and then trying to carve out some time to relax. So, I’m going to work Sunday nights as leftovers, take out, or eat out into my regular schedule.

Also, I didn’t get around to making the lasagna on Saturday, so I’m making it tonight instead.

Monday: spinach & broccoli lasagna (my own recipe, I’ll post it tonight)

Tuesday: leftover lasagna

Wednesday: chickpea & sausage stew (if J. will be home for dinner, I’ll change this to a veggie chickpea dish, since he hates sausage)

Thursday: leftovers

Friday: Shabbat at my parent’s house (we’ll celebrate both my birthday and my dad’s — I’m bringing these cupcakes dipped in melted chocolate)

Saturday: pasta for the boys, wine & cheese for me & J. (pre-birthday warm-up!)

Sunday: my birthday! J.’s taking me out

Menu Plan Monday, 1/7 – 1/13


Monday: 40-clove garlic chicken, roasted asparagus

Tuesday: chicken soup & noodles (made from carcass of Monday night’s chicken)

Wednesday: spinach & turkey meatballs & spaghetti for my mom & the boys (we didn’t wind up eating this last week)/women’s night out for me!

Thursday: beef & barley soup, roasted Brussels sprouts, challah

Friday: Shabbat dinner at school/taking J. out for his birthday!

Saturday: Hungarian goulash & egg noddles, sesame broccoli

Sunday: dinner with my parents/undecided
